The Masters Car Club exists to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by exhibiting the gifts and talents of people through their love for classic automobiles.

       

The "Masters" Car Club By-Laws

 

Article I - Name
The name of this organization shall be The "Masters" Car Club.

 

Article II - Purpose
To glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by exhibiting the gifts and talents of people through their love for classic automobiles.

 

Article III - Affiliation
This club shall be affiliated with and sponsored by Calvary Baptist Church, 830 North Jones Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730 and serve as a local chapter only.

 

Article IV - Membership
Membership shall be open to all persons with a genuine interest in sharing the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Dues shall be $25 annually with the family of each member falling under his/her membership. All members' dues shall be paid at the first meeting in June. If anyone joins after June, dues shall be paid the month they become a member and will last until June of the following year.

 

Article V - Officers
The officers of this club shall consist of President, Vice President, Secretary/Editor and Treasurer. Any member that is a Christian shall be eligible to hold one of these offices. The officers of this club shall be elected annually at the June meeting by the membership of this club and they shall serve 1 year. The President shall be the chief officer of this club and shall preside at all meetings of its membership. The president shall supervise all affairs of the club and meetings of its membership. The Vice President shall act as the president of this club in the absence of the president and shall head all committees and reports of their success. He/she will also coordinate all shows and cruise-ins this club may sponsor. The Secretary/Editor shall record all proceedings of this club and shall be empowered to certify jointly with the president as to such proceedings. He/she shall also handle all correspondence, and keep all members advised via letter, e-mail etc. of activities the club will be sponsoring or participating in. The Treasurer shall have custody of all club funds and shall keep in books belonging to the club full and accurate accounts of all receipts and disbursements. He/she shall deposit all monies in the name of the club in such depositories as may be designated for that purpose by the membership. He/she shall disburse the funds of the club as may be directed by the officers and membership, taking proper vouchers for such disbursements and shall render to the officers and membership at the regular monthly meetings.

 

Article VI - Registration. Expulsion and Conduct
Any member may resign by written notice to the secretary. His/her resignation shall become effective upon receipt and upon payment of any and all indebtedness due the club. Expulsion on other disciplinary measurers taken with regard to failure to pay dues, fees, and infraction of the clubs rules and regulations and/or other causes determined by the majority of the voting members will be given written notice of such expulsion from the membership of this club. All members shall conduct himself/herself in a manner that would be pleasing to God. This club is a Christian/family oriented club. There shall be NO alcoholic beverages or foul language at ANY Club functions. Parents shall be responsible for their children to see that they conduct themselves in the same manner as described above.

 

Article VII - Meeting
The annual meeting of the club will be held in June of each year for the purpose of the election of officers, annual reports of officers, and committees and such other business that may come before the meeting. The monthly meetings of the membership shall be held on the 1st Tuesday of each month from 6pm to 8pm at the designated location of our club's choice. These By-Laws were approved and adopted by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the membership of this club present at a meeting held January 31, 2004.
